Three years ago Tenma Kirin was ambushed by the malevolent and insane Chidokeshi Hijoshiki. Catching Tenma off guard, Chidokeshi stripped Tenma of all his powers and revealed to Tenma that most of his Zanpakuto was not his own but Chidokeshi's, fused to Tenma's many years ago; thus creating Chudoku Akkikage. Chidokeshi's removal of his Zanpakuto from Tenma's caused Tenma's soul into shock. Tenma was forced in mind and body to revert back to a time where he did not know Chidokeshi.
After Tenma's turning into a child, Chidokechi returned to the Hell Verse and left Tenma for dead. After a few weeks of a coma, Kirin woke up to find a voluptuous woman starring down at him. He had no memory of who she was or where he was. The last thing he remembered was a large explosion in the Maggots Nest and a rock hit him on the side of the head. This woman that he found starring down at him took him in as an apprentice, showed him the power of her zanpakuto and what, if he trained hard enough, he could one day achieve. The woman, who he started to call Sensei, named him Kirin - Because when Tenma, Aneko and Chidokeshi met the first time, Tenma had no name and she and Chidoekshi named him "Tenma Kirin." She decided to use the name "Tenma" to refer to his past self, and "Kirin" when speaking to his current self, as if they were separate people.
For three years Aneko raised Kirin, on the road, living off the fruit of the land. One day, Kirin was caught stealing an apple from a merchant in Egypt and was nearly put to the blade when suddenly, in a panic, he pulled a single blade of his remaining zanpakuto and cut the merchant in half - Revealing himself to be a hollow. As the hollow died, Tenma made a ran for it. Aneko knew that it was finally time to start training him in sword play now that some of his zanpakuto had begun regaining it's strength.
Sorry if I'm starting to sound repetitive, I just wasn't sure if my last story explained enough of Tenma's condition. Anyway, I love the way he looks now, though I still miss the white hair and being able to call him a sexy-sonofa-bitch, but cute works good enough for me.
